Water System
There is a 220 litre fresh water tank, with a 2 stage filtration system, a 10 micron inline pre-filter which is used to keep sediment out of the fresh water tank, and a Seagull IV X2 from General Ecology which is probably the most hardcore filter on the market. It is capable of removing 99.9% of all bacteria, viruses and cysts, and all this at a flow rate of 7.5 litres per minute, so there is no need for a clean water storage tank or waiting around for drinking water to filter.
A Shurflo pump provides water pressure, and is combined with a pressure accumulator which prevents pump cycling, thus prolonging pump life.
A Webasto ThermoTop E diesel water heater coupled with a 20l calorifier provides hot water. It is possible to plumb the calorifier into the engine's heating circuit to take advantage of excess engine heat while driving. An expansion tank is coupled with the calorifier to accommodate extra pressure due to the expansion of water as it heats up.
There is a plumbed-in Thetford C200 CS casette toilet, which has a 17l waste tank capacity, and is fitted with a SOG ventilation system, doing away with the need for chemical additives which are harmful to the environment when you're out in the middle of nowhere.
Grey water is collected in a 75l grey-water tank, which is exhausted externally through a tap.
